In this Mangools review, I will be sharing my genuine experience giving a detailed explanation of all the features Mangools offer.
I started using Mangools tools in 2017. Ever since I was a big fan of them, it’s about four years, still, I am an active subscriber.
Their SEO tools changed a lot from then till now. They added so many new features.
I think it satisfies most needs of bloggers, especially with respect to keyword research, SERP analysis, backlink analysis, and rank tracking.
But I am not at all a fan of their site profile tool as it lacks features like domain traffic and traffic analysis.
Before going detailed onMangools review, let’s look at what they offer in their suite.
Mangools Offers Five Tools
Mangools is an easy to use SEO toolkit, that contains 5 different tools in total.
- KWFinder to do keyword research and get keyword ideas.
- SERP checker to understand the SERP results and analytics.
- SERP Watcher to do rank tracking and to know overall performance for your tracked keywords along with position distribution.
- Link miner to do backlink analysis for getting details about top domains linking, anchor texts, and others. It even shows previews of the linked pages to view the exact location of the backlink.
- Site profiler to have a look over the site level SEO metrics like overall links, link type distribution, similar sites, and other metrics.
Ahead of these, Mangools offer a browser extension that comes in handy to get SEO reports in just a few clicks rather than going to the site and searching back again.
SERP Volatility checker is another free tool offered by the Mangools team, mainly to check the changes happenings in search results with respect to any search engine updates.
Another tool they offer for free is the Google SERP simulator to see a preview sample of your post in the Google SERP results as well as to analyze the title, meta description.
Let’s look in detail these 5 main tools of Mangools
KWFinder- Keyword Research Tool
Simply, KWFinder is a keyword research tool.
It’s really fast and you can easily discover numerous keyword suggestions in seconds. Along with the related keywords you will also get details like trends, search volume, CPC, PPC, and difficulty.
It also provides a complete breakdown of the search volume by month for your target keyword. It’s a great way to find whether your keyword is a seasonal keyword or not. You can also get an idea about the trends, whether the searches are increasing or decreasing like that.
Apart from that, there are options in KWFinder to get autocomplete terms and questions from Google for your target keyword.
KWFinder is the most popular one of all the Mangools tools. Many bloggers often use the name Mangools and KWFinder synonymously.
The name became so popular in a way it became an alternative name to the entire Mangools suite itself, many times even replacing the Mangools name.
How to Best Use the KWFinder Tool
First of all, after opening the KWFinder, simply you can enter the desired keyword and search for results.
Additionally, you can select a particular location if you want to target the audience based on their location. By default, this location option is set as anywhere, for which the keyword volume results are shown globally.
You also have an option to select the language, but I think it doesn’t have much use.
After getting the results you can sort, filter the keywords list with a variety of options like including or excluding a keyword, by the number of words, difficulty, etc.
Apart from the normal keyword search, a great option present in this tool is search by domain, by which you can find the competitor keywords.
You can even search for the keywords of a specific URL.
Using the search by domain option, you can even find competitor keyword positions in search engine results along with other metrics like search volume, CPC, PPC, and difficulty score.
KWFinder Difficulty Score and Suggestions (Best Features)
I was really amazed at the accuracy of the KWFinder keyword difficulty score in several real time situations.
If you ask me what you like the most of the Mangools, without thinking I will say KD – keyword difficulty score.
The best part in KWFinder is their keyword ideas and metrics, you can get a good amount of keyword ideas along with their details like search volume, CPC, PPC, trends, and keyword difficulty.
Another point here is you can autocomplete the search term and get the results as per the Google search results.
Likewise, you can do autocomplete for questions too.
Both these autocomplete options are really useful for keyword research rather than going into Google, searching for autocomplete, and coming back and forth to find volume and difficulty.
You also have an export option. you can either export results as a whole or selectively to CSV or even copy them to the clipboard.
On the other side, you can see the basic SERP analysis for that search keyword, along with difficulty, monthly searches, trends, and other metrics.
Overall KWFinder is a great keyword research tool to get keyword suggestions, ideas along with their metrics.
Now Let’s Move into SERPChecker Review
SERPchecker is really a great tool for getting an overview and analytics of search engine results.
When you type a keyword in KWFinder, automatically the tool displays a SERP overview towards the right side.
You get the details like domain authority, page authority, citation flow, trust flow, link count, facebook likes, LPS – link profile strength of that URL, and estimated visits.
The more button present enables you to get more results about a specific URL in a single click.
In case, if you want to see more SERP analysis, you can click on Analyse SERP option present.
Now, you get into the real SERPchecker tool.
Even If you access the SERP checker tool directly, you get a page similar to KWfinder by which you can do your desired search.
A great thing in SERPchecker is you can adjust the metrics as per your desire, which you want to see.
The LPS value developed by Mangools is another great score. I personally believe that, if you find an LPS value of lesser than 15 in the SERP Checker, the chances of ranking for that keyword are really high.
SERPchecker also has an option to export all its metrics.
Mangools had done an amazing job in designing its SERP checker.
Lest look at SERPWatcher Review – The Rank Tracker Tool
SERPWatcher is the rank tracking tool in Mangools, you can easily track the ranking of your target keywords here.
You can track the rankings both for desktop and mobile versions.
You can easily add the website you wish to track just by clicking on create new tracking and adding the details like the domain to be tracked, location, and the device in which you want to track the keywords.
A good thing is this rank tracking tool has the feature of uploading a file that contains your keywords apart from manual entry. You can also even add the keywords from the KWFinder lists you prepared.
After doing this you can just start tracking them.
KWFinder initially takes some time to set up the things and show the rankings.
Coming to the features of this rank tracker, it updates the keyword rank at a daily frequency and shows the keyword rank of that day.
It also shows the change of the positions, the average rank of that keyword basing upon the ranking history, the best rank achieved over time, search volume of that keyword, and the estimated visits you are getting.
You have an option to export the results in order to keep a record or to analyze them in the future.
Apart from that, other things I like in SERPwatcher are their dominance index and performance index, the overall index basing upon the current positions and search volume.
It clearly gives a picture about the things going on, they also added the Google logo to indicate major updates.
It’s really a great thing to keep an eye on the trend and make the necessary changes and pick up back.
You can have a simple look at keywords that are top gainers and top losers.
The best thing about this SERPWatcher tool is, it updates ranks at a daily frequency.
You can even check the estimated visits, keyword position flow, and distribution.
Linkminer – SEO Tool for Backlink Analysis
Linkminer is really a powerful tool for backlink analysis. This tool is very easy to use and you get all the competitor links in just a few clicks. I really like it a lot.
You can either type the root domain or direct URL of the post you wish to find the links.
The best part of link miner is, it gives complete details about the linking domain like the link strength, anchor text, HREF path, along with details of the domain like Alexa rank, trust flow, citation flow, number of external and internal links.
When you click on a backlink, you can alos view the exact location of the link with in that page. Really its a awesome feature in Link miner.
You can even filter the results basing on a variety of options like Active or deleted links, do follow link or no follow, and also by specifying other details. There is also an option available in link miner to search for newly acquired or lost backlinks.
you can either export these results or copy them to the clipboard.
Personally, while doing backlink analysis I generally use their extension directly to results and rather than copying and pasting the URL.
Let’s now move into the Site Profiler Tool
Of all the Mangools SEO tools, I don’t like the site profiler much mainly for the reason of missing site traffic deatils.
On searching the desired domain in this tool, you can get details like domain authority, page authority, citation, trust flow along with other SEO metrics.
Later you can see an overview of the backlink profile of the domain, giving details about active and lost backlinks over a period of time
Site profiler also gives other metrics like link type distribution between text links and image links.
You can also get a quick view of the top referring domains and their details. Along with that, you get a detailed view of popular anchor texts and even content of the website by shares and links.
The point why I said I didn’t like this too much is mainly on lacking the domain traffic features, which I love to see. Rest is all fine.
Mangools Browser Extension
The browser extension provided by Mangools is really a handy tool if you really know how to use it.
You can simply click on the extension to get an overview of the domain. you can even analyze the keywords, backlinks, on-page SEO details, rank tracking within the extension itself.
If you wish to see further details, you can just click on all keywords option provided. It directs you to KWFinder or the respective SEO tool and gives the results much detailed.
I can really say that this extension is a handy toolbox for bloggers to do competitor analysis.
What I felt lacking is keyword search volumes for the search term, wordcount, and social metrics for SERP results.
But a good point is, you can simply turn on or off these SERP features and stay focused when you are doing other work.
I usually use Surfer and Ubersuggest chrome extensions along with this extension to get a complete overview of SERP results and keyword suggestions.
But an important point to note is Mangools extension is good with their paid plans, For free users, it just shows the on-page SEO metrics.
Mangools Review: Pricing and Plans
There are three plans in Mangools – Basic, Premium, and Agency.
The great thing is all their plans have access to almost all the features of their tools.
The thing that differs between these three plans is based on how many searches you can do, how many keyword ideas you get, SERP lookups, the number of keywords you can track, and so on.
I personally think that Mangools tools are worth enough on the money you spend.
I prefer going for an annual plan, as it saves a good amount of bucks. The pricing is also decent, especially with their annual plans.
Mangools Pricing
Usually Mangools offers a 40% discount on their annual subscription.
Their basic plan usually starts at 29.90$ per month when you pay annually. Their premium and agency plan costs you 39.90$ and 79.90$ per month.
If you pay monthly it will be 49$ for the basic plan, 69$ and 129$ for premium and agency plans.
You can even try their 10 days free trial to see how their tool works.
Which Plan to Choose
I use their basic plan for my needs as I also have subscriptions to some other keyword research tools and SEO tools.
If your needs are high or if you are a group of 2 or 3 individuals running marketing agencies or a small business, it’s good to have agency plans as they come with simultaneous logins. otherwise, Mangools Basic and Premium plans are pretty good to go!
Between Basic and Premium plans, number of keyword searches, look ups, suggestions, tracked keyword count and others differs. So choose the plan accordingly.
If you are a new blogger, i prefer you to go with their basic plan. If your needs increases, you can then upgrade to their premium plan.
In case, you have a limited budget or wish to go for other keyword research tools, you can see my article on KWFinder alternatives, where I clearly discussed both free and paid alternatives of Mangools.
If you have some amount to spend on an analysis tool to do your SEO work and keyword research, I personally believe Mangools suite is really a great option, that worth every penny.
What I Like the Most in Mangools
- Keyword difficulty score (it works like charm)
- Robust SERP analysis
- User friendly representation of data
- Keyword suggestions and Google autocomplete option
- Superfast display of results
- Decent pricing, value for money especially their annual plans
- 100,000 monthly backlink rows
- Access to all their features starting from the basic plan
- Backlink analysis
- Daily update frequency on keyword ranks
- Historical search volume and keyword trends
- Handy extension that gets most of the things done in a single click
What I don’t like
- Lack of domain traffic estimate feature
- Lack of content analysis and marketing features
- Support needs to be improved – Although support does the job well, their response time is late.
Final Words
I personally think that Mangools subscription is worth every penny for what you get and when you use all their features.
That’s why I was still a subscriber of them, I start my keyword research, SERP, and competitor analysis from them.
See, selecting the right keyword basing on the keyword difficulty is what makes sense to me. Without that, it is really a tough time for any blogger, especially when their site is new and has no authority.
That’s what I get from Mangools keyword difficulty tool.
I believe that my Mangools Review or in other words KWFinder review for some had really helped you to know what you get and whether it’s really useful to you or not to make a decision.
